The mission of New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation is to serve as an agent of hope, partnering with others to provide needs driven services that improve the quality of life and encourage greater self-sufficiency.
New Faith Temple CDC programs will respond to the needs of the community by providing comprehensive, supportive, social services that can break the cycle of poverty and move an individual from shelter to transitional housing, to employment and a permanent home. These human services are staff-driven and will be administered on and off-site.
New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation works to facilitate, coordinate and ignite community economic development growth in the Grand Rapids Neighborhood through commercial development, residential development, community organizing, business organizing and positive youth development. New Faith Temple CDC will provide programs and services that encourage and engage economic growth and investment in and surrounding the Grand Rapids Neighborhood facilitating the revitalization of the physical, social, and economic fabric of the communities served.
New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a comprehensive, holistic community service and development organization that works to facilitate, coordinate and ignite education development, economic development and community development. New Faith Temple CDC has programs and services that encourage and engage economic growth and investment in these areas. New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation is the non-profit development arm of New Faith Temple Church of God in Christ where Bishop P. A. Brooks, II serve as Senior Pastor, Presiding Prelate of Historic First Jurisdiction Northeast Michigan and First Assistant Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Inc.
ABOUT New Faith Temple (CDC)
Some neighborhoods in Grand Rapids have suffered immense economic decline and related urban issues related to recessions. Rev. Deidric I. Tupper, President / CEO of New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation, saw more than declining conditions in the Grand Rapids community. With hopelessness in the people, he knew the only way to bring hope to people was to expand their possibilities and increase their expectations. From this, with the support from New Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, he founded New Faith Temple CDC and the work continues to focus on expanding possibilities and increasing expectations.
The offices are located in the Southeast Neighborhood and the organization is devoted to serving the entire Grand Rapids community with Southeast as its primary community. New Faith Temple CDC good works are not bound by geography; Rev. Tupper’s vision is truly regional. Based upon the growing need for New Faith Temple CDC services, work will continue to take place in other locations in and around Grand Rapids.
